Well, now we’ve all had a day to recover from the big shock of the American Idol finale. Actually there were two huge shocks. One was Kris Allen winning over Adam Lambert, of course. And the other one was seeing Bikini Girl go head-to-head and tan-to-tan with Kara DioGuardi. Oh and I should mention that even though America has picked its Idol, Silver Oak hasn’t yet. So be sure to qualify for our Silver Oak Idol contest for a shot at $10,000.
Though he didn’t win, as many expected, Adam Lambert should land on his feet. He might even land on stage with KISS, if he takes up Gene Simmons on his offer to put on some armor and tour with the band. And if Mr. Simmons also asked Bikini Girl to hit the road with his band, he might want to reconsider. She’s showing a seriously bad attitude about getting up-staged by Kara DioGuardi’s bikini performance.
Well, that’s it for another season of American Idol. I have to say that this one was a roller-coaster. Despite not winning, Adam Lambert injected some much needed spice into the long-running show. Though from the Nielsen ratings, it’s clear that they could have used a little more of that. The numbers were down almost 4 million viewers compared to the season finale last year. What they should do, if you ask me, is to mix up American Idol and Celebrity Apprentice. I bet I’m not the only one who’d tune in every week to see Joan Rivers and Annie Duke go at each other in a sing-off.
